We are going to buy a new bed and need a new mattress anyway – first we thought about a memory foam topper but then we thougt there is no point, we could just buy a whole memory foam mattress. What is your experience and how does the topper compete with the mattress?
There are so many different types of Memory Foam Mattress out, you either like it or you hate it. do your research before you buy and go and try them out and send a good 1/2 hour on each one, you can get either a spring mattress and a memory foam pillowtop or full memory foam and there are usually 3 different feels… soft med or firm, depending on ur body wieght will depend on the feel of the bed, if you wieght next to nothing then the softest would be right for you.
they should also come with a 10 year guarantee but you should get a good 15 to 20 years out of the mattress, they out last springs.
if you have the money to spend then i would get the mattress rather then the topper because n 6 months or 12 months time you will start to feel the mattress underneath and it defeets pupose
DO NOT go with Tempur it works off your body temp at 18degrees, they cost the earth but the memory foam they use is cheap. you would be better of buying either 100% natural latex or eco flex memory form, plus do your reseach on both if you are going to buy, check the colour of the latex and memory form, it should be a light yellow/cream colour and feel it aswell, alot of places sell really cheap “so called 100% latex and memory form but they are filled with fillers which breaks down the mattress and makes it firmer over time.
I have had both – the topper should be latex for maximum comfort and my memory foam is fantastic and has made such a difference to my life. On the odd occasion I have to use an ordinary mattress I certainly feel the difference.
I’ve got one. I didn’t get Tempur which is quite firm, I got a cheaper one. It’s a bit like sleeping on a feather bed. I absolutely adore it, have had it five years and everytime I go to bed I still appreciate it. Get one, I know they are expensive but it’s money well spent.
I have a memory foam mattress and i like it.
The majority of my (or any) memory foam mattress is not memory foam though, so i would go for the topper if i were you.
It would be the cheaper option too.
My cousin–70’s, got one and she said she and her hub hated it, made a big dent where they slept and would not go away. I have a 41/2″ down mattress with memory foam on my box springs and then the down. Good sleep.
The topper does not help much, if you have a crappy mattress like I do. XD
I would recommend the mattress, but it is too soft for some people (you really sink down into it :p)
I have one, I think ??? but I cant remember how it is ? Just kidding, from what I have heard peolple seem to like them.
Very Good!
yh your body just sinks into it its weird lol
